The technology that worked in a controlled environment meets a different operating reality: live incident response, regulatory reporting, supplier dependencies, and political accountability.
We argue that "production readiness" is not a phase that ends. It is a discipline maintained continuously: change management, key rotation, supplier reviews, tabletop exercises, and independent assurance.
Programmes that internalise this from the first pilot tend to scale. Programmes that treat it as a launch checklist tend to stall.
